I thought this would be a fun way to kick off our study of earth science this year. I think the boys enjoyed the surprise. It was so peaceful out on the banks of the Ohio. Toward the end, we were starting to get a bit hot, but overall, we had great weather. When we go again, I believe we will take buckets and brushes to clean the mud off of the rocks so we can see the fossils better.

Field Trip!
And yet so early in the school year...gotta love homeschooling:) If the day is beautiful, find something outside to learn about! We went to the fossil beds at Falls of the Ohio State Park.
